Forget about New Year resolutions, and try this instead.

Dear friend,

I write to you from my home office from where I can see the first fireworks of New Year's eve color the sky.

We are just a few hours away from the start of a new year and a new decade.

And as much as it is a key milestone for the calendar ... for me it's pretty much just another day (yep, counter culture all the way ūü§ė).¬†

A nice day I may add -the 1st of Jan is a nice opportunity to tour the family and a great excuse to send positive vibes to everybody around me, near and far.

But rather than the kick-off of something radically different, my perspective on the new year is rather a continuation of the on-going journey.

Rather than a stop/start point in time, January will very likely start where December left me off.

(and let's be honest - like everybody I tried to tick off as many items from my to-do before going on holidays but whatever wasn't done is quietly waiting for me to come back to the office...)

So I invite you to reject the idea of creating another set of objectives or goals for 2020, or even for January.

Did you know that less than 20% of the New Year's resolution work?

They rarely work because people set goals that are way too ambitious, too many of them and without the right reality check on their feasibility.

At a deeper level, they rarely work because people are copying generic goals rather than focus on their unique definition of success.

New Year's resolutions rarely work, because a dream cannot be built in a few minutes (well, except for your sleep phases ūüėī).

Rather than following the illusion of New Year's objectives and resolutions, I invite to start a journey of reconnection with your dream.

Reunite with what matters most.

Be free to create your own rules.

Explore something you have never done before.

Meditate - Travel - Network - Read - Attend events ...

Make 2020 and the decade ahead full of all the experiences you need to loop back onto yourself.

And once you know who you are and what your contribution can be - do it.

You'll actually notice that¬†when you have found it, it means you have already started¬†ūüėČ

Enjoy every step of this path - I'll be there with you if you need me. Just ask.

Happy 2020! Make it bring you the health and energy for you to be well, be strong, be you.

With love - always,

Marie
